From my childhood to 1955 around 200 slides have been, I scanned all even and then print out let. These two small photo albums of their parents. From today's perspective, there are far too few pictures from this period.
At the beginning of the wedding photography contract seventies started it with all possible photo cameras and also SLR cameras. Color negative and mostly India. Many slides, I can make paper prints. Also this from today's point of view also too little images, still high just so to remember well - but I want to none Miss.
Then in 2005, buying my little Compact with 4 MP. First attempts, many attempts. A volunteer photo report after the thousands of files and otherwise has other, shooting with the little ones usually more fun, when I had time. Soon followed contacts with "real" photographers and entering appropriate associations. Visit of exhibitions, change of vision and of photography and photography final infected with the incurable virus.
2007 came the Nikon F4, certainly d e r milestone in my "career" - again something completely different, a return to the slowness and once again working with the slides.
At that time I decided, to browse 9,800 slides, glass ENT, to frame and archive. I have done it eight months and keep about half the memory.
2008 I have fulfilled my dream of a D300 then. Again many files and still so much to do so.
I'm not quite as disciplined as bella, it may also not be as a nature photographer. But I can delete brutalstmöglichst and more and more, sometimes everything now. My next project is a consistent review of many thousand files since 2005...
The existing ones are many what I never take me won't let, to fill many file folders, boxes and folders with more or less successful photographs, printing for exhibitions or simply vacation pictures. Like I watch through the mountains occasionally.
Since I make my pictures for me, I have no problems with demonstrations. If you don't want no need to watch. Maybe I'm there a little reversed, but a demonstration of others has never bored me.
I scan relatively much, but announcement templates judiciously. There a small series of the same motif is sometimes, something to try, or the one or the other "safety record" when the subject is important to me. After that will be in two stages mercilessly sorted out (even if hurts ;-)). The first stage immediately, all out what failed or clearly don't like it. And after about 14 days with some distance still a second pass. It only the photos remain that it me are really worth.
I come back for example straight from a short break (3 days). Some 300 images were the "prey". After the first round were approximately 100, probably about 30 to 40 are left at the end.
